When asked to do a Younique review, my one request was that is was something other than the mascara. It's everywhere. I wanted to know what ELSE was out there!Awake Facial Cleanser ($39) did not disappoint! The product looks a thick gray clay, and works up to a good lather. It has a very subtle floral scent; it's made with garden chrysanthemum, aloe vera, and licorice root, and I think it's the chrysanthemum that I smell.
I have sensitive combination skin, and this works well for these issues. I once used a generic Proactive that literally pealed a layer of skin off of my upper lip, so I'm very hesitant trying knew products. I have had no issues, and I've been using this for about a week. It leaves my skin squeaky clean; I can't say I've used another product that has done that!
So far, my only negative is the price. I usually use a cleanser that's under $10 that works fine. However, since you don't need much more than a lima bean of product, it will last a while!
While I haven't tried this yet, I've read that leaving this on for longer than the recommended minute will make it dry up, like a mud/charcoal mask. Rinse with warm water to draw out impurities in the skin!
Overall: highly recommended! And Jessica is a great rep; excellent customer service!
